The Harry Weinrebe Fund for the Advancement of Children at the Institute

The Dorset Foundation recently established the Harry Weinrebe Fund for the Advancement of Children, in memory of the late Harry Weinrebe. The Fund supports research projects and national seminars on major issues affecting Israeli children and youth.

The first project supported by the Fund is the first National Study on Immigrant Youth. This study provides the first in depth and comprehensive view of immigrant youth, focusing on their integration into Israeli society in areas such as education, social integration, relationships with parents, and risk behaviors. A national conference was held in January of 2010 to present the interim findings of the study.
