The Connie and Bert Rabinowitz Fund for Creative Breakthrough Research

The Connie and Bert Rabinowitz Fund for Creative Breakthrough Research was established in 1999 by Bert and Connie Rabinowitz of Antigua and Miami. The goal of the fund is to facilitate and encourage the Institute's research divisions to conduct innovative projects for which regular funding is not available and that will have a unique social impact.

The first initiative supported by the fund was a multi-year project (2001-2005) to explore the role that data and research have played in decision-making related to human services, and to examine the potential contributions of selected information systems. The findings of this groundbreaking initiative have been generating a greater understanding of ways to improve the link among data systems, research, and policy-making throughout the social welfare system.
