Making Social Policies and Programs More Effective

Since 1974, we have been involved in Israel’s most important national social initiatives, using cutting-edge research to contribute to many significant social policy and program reforms in Israel.

As an applied research center, the Institute brings research to bear on major social issues in multiple ways, including:

  • Informing public discussion of social challenges and priorities by:
    - creating new and up-to-date information through national surveys of populations and service systems
    - Synthesizing national data to monitor key social trends
  • Participating in major national commissions, forums, and other strategic planning efforts
  • Assisting in the planning and evaluation of major national reforms and inter-sectoral initiatives
  • Evaluating pilots and subsequent national dissemination of innovative intervention strategies

International Exchange
Integral to our research program is the exchange of ideas and practices, with the international community and the Jewish world.
