MJB works through multiple channels to inform local Jewish communities, with dissemination of updates on key social issues, briefing missions to Israel, and sharing knowledge within the community.
In December 2015, MJB Co-Chairwoman Annie Sandler, together with the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater (Virginia), hosted Institute director Prof. Jack Habib and Community Relations associate Dr. Keri Zelson Warshawsky. The two-and-a-half day visit focused on a broad range of issues related to Israel's social challenges, and included meetings with groups in the Jewish and non-Jewish community.
According to Sandler, "the presentations gave my community leaders and professionals a life-size understanding of the social issues and struggles of the Israeli people. I strongly believe in the need to ground the work of the Federations in Israel on a more informed basis."
