Employment

Expanding opportunities for employment, vocational training, and career advancement are critical for improving employment for disadvantaged populations such as Arab women, ultra-Orthodox men, and people with disabilities, and for addressing the challenges of poverty and social inequality.

These challenges became particularly significant with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, when many employees lost their jobs. Many of the newly unemployed hail from the most disadvantaged populations who are expected to have difficulty re-entering the job market.

MJB’s Research Team on Employment is an integral part of the national employment efforts. Its contribution is geared towards identifying trends and new challenges in employment, particularly among its target populations and in various branches of industry.
