Spotlight on Young Adults

The Israel-Hamas War broke out in October 2023 following the deadly attack by the Hamas terrorist organization. The war has been ongoing for over a year on multiple fronts, leaving its mark on Israeli society as a whole and affecting multiple domains of life. One of the population groups most significantly impacted by the war is young adults.

There are currently over two million young adults aged 18 to 34 in Israel and, relative to their proportion of the population, this group has suffered more casualties than any other Israeli group in the ongoing war. Young adults face many challenges in routine times and now, more than ever, are in need of support in order to navigate this period.

This page presents brief documents written to draw attention to issues that affect young adults, with the aspiration of outlining a path for advancing policy and developing programs that will assist strengthen young adults in both the short and long term. Infographic documents will be periodically uploaded to this page, each focusing on a central issue based on secondary analysis of existing data.
