Pathfinder

The Pathfinder Team examines new areas of research, identifies problems and challenges in Israeli society, and offers knowledge-based recommendations for improving and strengthening Israeli society and for increasing the effectiveness of public policy. Pathfinder enables the Myers-JDC-Brookdale Institute to develop a dynamic and proactive approach to the study of new social issues and provides its researchers with an additional platform for professional development and advancement.

2021 Research Theme

  • Development of a one-stop online shop database of information on disability in Israel by the Myers-JDC-Brookdale Institute in partnership with the Center for Disability Studies at the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the Haifa Forum of Disability Studies at the University of Haifa. The database is designed to promote research, knowledge, and practice in the field of disability for the research community, the disability community, civil society, professionals, and policymakers.
