Building on a successful professional exchange in 2011, MJB and Bar Ilan University have signed a multi-year partnership with the China Youth University for Political Sciences (CYU) to cooperate on research on children and youth.
The roots of this partnership lie in the Institute’s ongoing involvement in the World Health Organization’s survey of the well-being and risk behaviors of teenage children, conducted every four years in over 40 countries.
The survey provides a snapshot of how Israeli youth are doing within a global context, and helps to identify important trends in their well-being. It also enables MJB to contribute to the international community, while bringing the international experience to bear on these issues in Israel.
In the context of the previous work, MJB assisted CYU in conducting the national survey on children and youth throughout China. Now there will be even broader cooperation to advance research to promote national policies for children and youth in China and in Israel.
